Award
Banquet Presentation
A local activist
organization required material for their annual awards banquet. After considering the
effort and cost involved in undertaking a project such as this on their own, the event
organizers approached us for a solution.
A two-week time frame was available for the entire
project; concept, design, layout, proofing and eventual printing. After
receiving the material and content, we began the design and layout for the program.
As it progressed the project grew as
more material was needed to complete the package, including table tents and award
certificates, all with the same theme that didn't exist just days before.
Final approval for printing of the package was granted 3
days prior to the event and the project was delivered on the morning of the banquet. The
client was pleased and the event was a success, due, in part, to the professional image
portrayed through the printed material.
Producing this project with the same tight time
constraints would not have been possible with traditional methods and a
typical graphic design service would have not been as effective. |

Motivational Seminars
Eric Erickson, a
motivational guru, who travels the world hosting self-help type seminars, uses books and
articles that he has authored to support his classes and teach his
philosophy. In the past, he would utilize the
limited services of a copy center to print copies of his books that he would
sell at a
seminar. The print and design quality that he received from the copy center did not match
the caliber of his message.
When we were
approached by Mr. Erickson, a need for continuity and design was apparent. By using the
author's own photographs and stock photography, covers were designed to establish an
identity for each of his books. Over the course of several weeks, as each book was submitted to Morrow Graphics for reproduction, a
cover was created that matched the design identity that was being established with each
successive title.
Without the specialized design service
offered by Morrow Graphics, Mr. Erickson's seminars would not have the
brand identity they have today. |

Self Publishing
An example of
print-on-demand-tailored-design is displayed at left. The author of this
autobiography,
an elderly woman by the name of Caroline Blakely, needed a professional
image for the retail sale her book. Armed with original vintage family
photographs and
the text files of her stories (from an Apple II-C computer), we designed the book's format, created an identity
for "I Am One Of These" and printed the book on-demand, perfect bound with full-color covers in high-quality digital print.
The result of this approach to
self-publishing was incredible. On a local level, Caroline's autobiography
was a hit within her large family and was successfully able to compete with other books
on the shelf in small book
stores and retail environments. |
